MARGE GERDIN

I asked Marge to pose for some photographs because I was so drawn to her liveliness and strength. Marge is a Minnesota farmer. She is 80 years old and is more at home on a tractor than in the kitchen, though she doesn’t do badly in the kitchen either. The picture won a second place award in the Lake Country Pastel Society Show at the Phipps Gallery in Hudson, Wisconsin as well as an honorable mention in the Pastel Journal’s Pastel 100 competition for 2004.
